There is always so much excitement that builds with the Christmas season. Decorations, family parties, Christmas music and concerts, and most importantly remembering that Christ is reason for the season. Lastly, we can not forget the gifts.
The Roffel party was held at Doug and Crystal's cozy house. Highlights of the December 22nd party include a delicious home cooked meal, stockings, and many goofy faces. See my Artsy Fartsy of more pictures of the decor.

Bexx is already to celebrate with us with her Christmas hat. The entertainment was watching her try to take it off.
On Christmas Eve, Jessie-Lyn, Tyler, and Danielle came to visit us. Jessie-Lyn did daycare for the girls for 2 years. Jaelyn and Ava miss Tyler and Jessie-Lyn lots and often talk about when they can go visit. We are very thankful for the Christian daycare the girls could attend while in Jessie-Lyn's care.

We started a family tradition a couple of years ago where we decorate gingerbread houses before we open our gifts. Brian and I help the girls make a giant mess and have lots of fun in the process. This year Grandma and Grandpa Koomans joined us and took pictures for us.

Jaelyn and Ava are genuinely happy with almost any gift they receive. I love seeing the excitement and concentration on their faces as they open their gifts. They are also very thankful for each gift and full of affection.
For my family we went to Great Wolf Lodge from December 25-26th. We have done this the last couple of years in place of gifts. This creates great memories with the family.
