Well it is official! We are homeless. Our old house at 7 Mulberry Court, closed on Thursday, July 30th. We actually moved out on the Saturday prior. This gave me time to then clean the house for the new home owners and clean up the flower beds one last time. For the month of July we will be staying at my
in-laws home and vacationing.
We have a nice routine going one and the girls are really liking it at Grandma and Grandpa Roffel's house. Here is some of the things we have been up to.
The Girls Bedroom
The girls are sleeping sideways on the futon in the spare room and have a great pillow divider. One of them usually starts in Grandma and Grandpa's room and once sleeping are transferred to their own bed.
The Make Shift Toy Room
The living room has become the toy room. There are very strict rules in this room. The girls are not to touch the furniture, the organ, the tables, or anything on the tables. They will tell you very clearly what the consequences will be. Jaelyn is quick to respond, "Mommy will throw our toys in the the garbage. " We have had one minor violation so far…. Jaelyn sat on the love seat and was quickly removed and reminded of the rules.

While I did some gardening, Jaelyn and Ava found time to play in the back yard. Their personality differences really do become evident here
Jaelyn is most like her mom here and playing in the gardens. She was helping me! She was playing in the rain water in the bird bath. She is carefree and can find a stick and have fun.
Ava on the other hand, is our tech kid. She is all about using the iPad. She plays games and watching U tube. She loves Magic School Bus, Dora, Arthur, Berenstein Bears, etc. She will find it. She likes to help me set the table at supper time.
This is just a brief glimpse at our first week on homelessness.
