Spring Break

Wow!  I think it is safe to say that spring is coming!  It has been a beautiful week and the snow is GONE!  I didn't actually think I would ever be excited for snow to be gone.  I guess it would have something to do with the fact that I didn't get around to snowboarding again this year.  I have gone snowboarding once in the last 4 years.  Very depressing!  Then when we got so much snow this year, it makes it that much harder.  However, we did get the chance to go tobogganing with the girls.  They both loved the snow this year.
So since this week is March Break, I had the week off to spend with my kids.  We started the week off by going to the Best Western Inn in Sterling Heights.  It has a water park geared for younger kids.  Ava had a slight mishap when she and another boy collided, giving her a bloody nose (first time either of my kids have bled).  That did not stop her as she was back in the water shortly there after.
We did some shopping in the area.
Here are some of the photos we took while there.

Brian and I went to see STOMP on Wednesday at the Capital Theatre.  It was really well done!

Young children always have an amazing imagination.  While I was making supper one night, my kids decided to make the couch their slide.  No injuries occurred here.

So every night when I was making supper they found something in the house to make into a toy.  They also went into the utensil drawer and have been playing wooden spoons, measuring cups, etc.  Who needed to pay and see STOMP when my kids provide this much entertainment.
Sadly, my week has drawn to a close and I return to work on Monday.  I did accomplish a lot this week:  lots of shopping, too much laundry and cleaning, quality time well spent playing with my kids, a pedicure, hair colour and cut, and many more things I have forgotten already because of my jammed pack week.

Ava did feel the need to have an unwanted night visitor from Wednesday to Thursday and shared her supper with us during the night.  By morning, there were no signs of illness.  However, it did result in me staying home all day and missing my class at the Paper Pickle :(  We also stayed indoors all day when the sun was shining brightly and begging us to play.

Well I am off….I hear one of the girls crying…..
